Remote Engine Monitoring Available for Hawkers

Honeywell’s TFE731 Zing remote diagnostic service is now available for Hawker jets as an add-on to Honeywell’s maintenance service program (MSP). Zing consists of an avionics box that sends engine data wirelessly via the GSM cellphone network to the operator or service centers as well as Honeywell engine trend-monitoring partner Jet-Care. It uses remote diagnostics to suggest tests, repairs and recommended information to view in maintenance manuals. The Zing hardware eliminates manual data downloads and is currently STC’d on most Hawker-series jets. Hawker 900XP approval is expected late this year, followed by approvals for the Dassault Falcon 50 and 900 and Bombardier Learjet 40/45 next year.
