Avjet has received FAA approval to operate its first Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) under the FAR Part 135 regulations for both domestic and international charter travel. The approval concludes a rigorous, seven-month process to demonstrate that Avjet meets the stringent financial and operational targets set forth by the FAA and the U.S. Department of Transportation.
“With this approval, Avjet joins an elite and exclusive handful of companies approved to operate BBJs for worldwide charter operations,” said Avjet chairman and CEO Marc Foulkrod. “We are delighted to offer our charter customers the ultimate in long-range corporate aircraft.”
With nearly three times the interior space of other corporate aircraft and a range of more than 6,000 nm, the BBJ is the premier large cabin aircraft in Avjet’s charter fleet. The fleet also includes Gulfstream 550s and 450s, as well as Bombardier Global Express aircraft.
In addition to its charter and management operations, Avjet specializes in Boeing Business Jet sales, as purchaser or seller in nearly 75 percent of all BBJ transactions within the past 12 months. The company headquarters is in Burbank, California.
