Comtran International said it has been awarded an STC for a 12-passenger executive cabin configuration for the Dornier 328Jet, which is being marketed as the Revolution Series 328.
According to Jordan Jaffe, president of Comtran, the 328Jet provides a unique combination of a large cabin with superb passenger comfort, combined with low acquisition and operating costs.
When modified to Comtran’s executive configuration, the aircraft will have features that today’s business jet operators are seeking–satcom suite including Internet connectivity, in-flight entertainment systems, comfortable executive seating, dining/conference areas, full galley for in-flight food and beverage service, private lavatory and externally loaded baggage capability that is also accessible from the cabin.
Comtran’s executive conversions of the 328Jet will be completed at the company’s modification center located at Horseshoe Bay Airport in central Texas. The first modified aircraft was completed in July 2008, and delivered to a European customer.
