With some help from Kansas City, Mo.-based Infusion Design, Elliott Aviation has created a new computerized virtual cabin program that will allow customers to “tour” the cabin throughout the interior design process. Elliott expects to debut the 3-D Max/Viz program at the NBAA Convention this fall in Orlando. The system initially will be put in place at the company’s Moline, Ill. facility, but there are plans to configure it so that it can be taken to the customer off-site. It is part of an on-going expansion of the engineering department. The department has grown from a staff of three in 2003 to eight this year. The next step is a move into larger digs on the second floor of the completion hangar.
