Lou Martin and MSA introduce new aviation window shade systems

January 29, 2007, 9:51 AM

Lou Martin and Associates of San Antonio is offering its new generation window shade system for widebody large executive aircraft.

The certification process, scheduled for completion early this year, is designed to ensure compliance with the more stringent standards that the FAA and European aviation authorities are implementing.

The new electronic system, according to Lou Martin, has been independently tested to a life of more than 200,000 cycles. A patent-pending controller provides operational shade control by the passenger and a flight attendant override function. It also effectively blocks out all light when the shade is in the blackout mode.
