Dassault Aviation confirmed at its annual results briefing in Paris last month that it will launch a super-midsize Falcon, probably next year. Company president and CEO Charles Edelstenne said, “Ninety percent of the new jet’s characteristics have already been defined and our teams will concentrate on the model in April, after certification of the Falcon 7X.” Dassault meanwhile is holding meetings to select its main partners before launching the new jet. The new jet might supersede the Falcon 50EX, the company’s current super-midsize offering. Dassault delivered just 10 Falcon 50EX’s in the last two years.
