September 26, 2007, 10:22 AM

The SAE Institute and Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA) have been working with industry professionals to develop the SAE/PAMA aviation maintenance specialist-technician and SAE/PAMA aviation maintenance engineer certifications. According to PAMA president Brian Finnegan, the two organizations are now looking for volunteers to go through the certification process to beta test it.

“Benefits of becoming an SAE/PAMA beta test participant include the ability
to become SAE/PAMA certified at no cost, the knowledge that you are an
integral part of the leading movement to improve recognition of the aviation maintenance industry worldwide and, most important, those who pass the exam will be SAE/PAMA certified and be able to demonstrate their status and credentials
to current and prospective employers,” Finnegan told AIN.

PAMA invites maintenance professionals to apply for the volunteer role. For more information, contact Angela Springel at
