Nordam President Killed in Floatplane Crash

Charles Ryan, president and COO of the Nordam Group, and two other men were killed and four others injured on the afternoon of October 8 when their de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver floatplane crashed into a lake in northern Ontario during a hunting trip. Also killed were James Pielsticker, chairman and founder of Arrow Trucking Co., and the pilot, whose name has not yet been released. One of those injured was Robin Siegfried, 54, part owner of the Nordam Group and president of the Nordam Enterprises Division, who suffered cuts and two broken legs in the crash and underwent surgery. Ryan was also a member of the board of directors of First Aviation Services.
