FAA asks McSweeny to delay departure

October 8, 2007, 8:00 AM

Thomas McSweeny is delaying his planned departure from the FAA at the request of the agency. Peggy Gilligan, who was McSweeny’s deputy director and set to replace him, has been assigned to manage an FAA security team formed as a result of last month’s terrorist attacks.
