Citation Excel initial and recurrent pilot training is now available at SimuFlite in Dallas. Training is available as a 14-day initial program or a four-day recurrent course on the company’s new Excel simulator, which received FAA level-D approval in August. The simulator is equipped with Honeywell Primus 1000 avionics, including Primus 880 weather radar. The simulator also features TCAS II and EGPWS. Citation training at SimuFlite is not factory authorized–that distinction is still the exclusive domain of FlightSafety. Separately, SimuFlite has introduced an Internet course that meets the FARs for high-altitude operations training.
