March landing for Greek 'air Force One'

• The Hellenic Air Force was expected to take delivery in late February or early March of a new Gulfstream V contracted for in late March last year. The GV is slated to become the flagship of the government’s VIP fleet, and its acquisition was facilitated by a fatal accident involving a government Falcon 900B in 1999 (AIN, October 2000, page 101), the selection of Greece as the site for the 2004 Olympic Games and its current status as European Union president.
