A new international operators scholarship to benefit those who are involved with, or wish to become involved with, international business aviation operations in any capacity is being offered by NBAA. It was developed and will be administered by the NBAA International Operators Committee (IOC) and the sponsoring ExxonMobil Aviation and its Avitat FBOs.
The deadline for 2002 scholarship applications is January 31. The IOC scholarship group then will judge the applications and determine the winner or winners of a total of $5,000 in scholarship awards. The scholarships will be presented during the NBAA 29th Annual IOC March 11 to 14 at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville.
Both the NBAA IOC and ExxonMobil Aviation and its Avitat FBOs are promoting education and training as a means for individuals to increase the safety and professionalism of their positions. Funds awarded through this program will be paid directly to the educational institution of the recipient’s choice to further that individual’s professional development, NBAA said.
Applications and further information are available through the NBAA Web site or by contacting Jay Evans at (202) 783-9353.
