Swiss aircraft interior specialist Aerolite received a contract from Norway’s Lufttransport AS to outfit three AgustaWestland AW139s with emergency medical transport interiors. The helicopters will receive dedicated turnkey medical interiors including single- and dual-patient litters, integrated patient loading systems, cabinetry and system and equipment integrations. According to Max Bucher, Aerolite’s president and founder, the contract validates the company’s investment in lightweight technologies, improved manufacturing processes and new designs. The interiors will be constructed at Aerolite’s Ennetbürgen, Switzerland shop and installed at AgustaWestland’s factory in Italy. Deliveries of the completed AW139s will begin this year.
