PCB Piezotronics, a manufacturer of sensors and instrumentation with 40 years experience in the aerospace industry, announced the formation of a new division focused on the aviation and defense markets. The Depew, N.Y. firm specializes in the manufacture of force, torque, load, strain and acoustic pressure vibration sensors.
The company has named Ronald Levecchi, an engineer and 30-year industry veteran, senior director of PCB Piezotronics Aerospace & Defense (Booth No. 601). He will oversee market development, technical sales, customer service and applications engineering. Levecchi will be at PCB’s Heli-Expo booth to discuss the new division and its capabilities.
PCB president John Lalley told HAI Convention News, “Under Ron’s direction, we look forward to providing innovative new products to benefit this important target market segment and help us further evolve into new applications and technologies.” The company’s products include space-rated high-temperature and high-g shock accelerometers; space-qualified hardware; and sensors and instrumentation for health and usage monitoring systems for UAV’s, helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft and ground vehicles.
