Savannah, Georgia-based Gulfstream has named Sumi Fonseka the new general manager of its Luton Service Center, located at the UK’s London-Luton Airport. Prior to his appointment, Fonseka was the senior hangar operations manager at the companies’ South Service Center in Savannah. As Luton’s general manager, he will be in charge of the facility’s daily operations and fulfilling the needs of Gulfstream customers based in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Last year, Luton serviced more than 900 Gulfstream aircraft. Fonseka succeeds Frank Defelice, who will return to Savannah to develop the company’s international product support network.
