François Chazelle is the new vice president in charge of Airbus’ Executive and Private Aviation division, following the recent departure of Richard Gaona to Comlux after eight years at the helm.

Chazelle, 38, studied aerospace engineering at ENAC, the French civil aviation school of higher education. He then worked for 10 years with Bureau Veritas, where he headed the consulting offices in Poland, Luxembourg and Russia, mainly assisting Eastern European airlines. Before taking his new role, Chazelle headed Airbus corporate jet sales for the Asia Pacific region, introducing the first ACJs into China and Russia.
