Hawker Beechcraft King Air 200 and B200 operators have a new performance option, thanks to Blackhawk Modifications’ Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-52 XP engine upgrade.

The company, which is headquartered in Waco, Texas, and has offices worldwide, announced at the show that the upgrade has been certified with Raisbeck Engineering’s Epic Platinum and Gold packages. Blackhawk said the upgrade allows for optimal takeoff performance and cruise speeds up to 318 knots.

It also announced that King Air B200 operators (starting with serial number BB-1509) can retain their original Hartzell/ Beechcraft propellers and install the PT6A-61 engine upgrade, which is offered exclusively through Blackhawk.

A $15,000 voucher is available to operators who later opt to upgrade with the Epic Gold performance package and install the Raisbeck propeller, which improves takeoff performance.
