Times Aerospace Korea (TAK) has partnered with Sikorsky Aerospace Services to open a regional parts stocking facility at Gimpo Aerospace Industrial Complex in Gimpo City, South Korea. Sikorsky Aerospace Services is the aftermarket business of Sikorsky Aircraft. TAK, an authorized Sikorsky S-76 customer service center and provider of helicopter repair and maintenance services, created the Gimpo Aerospace Industrial Complex near Incheon and Gimpo International Airports to support facilities for the Asian aerospace industry. According to David Adler, president of Sikorsky Aerospace Services, the facility will stock and ship a wide array of parts to support the VX/H-92 helicopter flown by the Republic of Korea Air Force and to support other Sikorsky customers in the region that operate the S-61, S-76 and S-92 commercially. “This is a continuing effort to expand our globalization initiative in support of our customers,” Adler said. In the future, the facility also might stock parts to support fixed-wing aircraft owned and operated in the region by customers of Derco Aerospace, a Sikorsky Aerospace Services company.
