Jet Aviation has added a managed Falcon 900EX to its Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia charter fleet based in Switzerland.

The 900EX, a 13-passenger business jet, can carry eight passengers 4,500 nautical miles and has non-stop flight capability from Switzerland to New York, Washington, D.C., or Dubai. Two of the seats can be converted to sleeping berths.

Meanwhile, Jet Aviation has also expanded the scope of its FAA crew type ratings to accommodate Boeing 737-700/800 and Gulfstream G200 aircraft for maintenance work. The G200 approval comes in line with Jet Aviation taking on the operational management of the same type of aircraft in the U.S.

The FAA type ratings for both aircraft types follow a number of approvals Jet Aviation Hong Kong has received in recent months. These include JMM approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the Macau Aviation Administration to work on China- and Macau-registered aircraft in mainland China.

According to Nigel Parker, managing director of maintenance, Jet Aviation Hong Kong, “The extension of our FAA approval provides clients and operators with more flexibility in the types of aircraft we can accommodate at our Hong Kong operation, or that can be served in other regions by Jet Aviation Hong Kong.”

Jet Aviation Hong King has one hangar totaling 99,027 sq ft, offers line maintenance, inspections and defect rectifications, as well as AOG support.
