The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has approved the Shanghai Hawker Pacific Business Aviation Service Centre (SHPBASC) to add the Dassault Falcon 7X to its Part 145 Maintenance Organization approval. This is the first approval by the CAAC for the 7X in China, according to SHPBASC.
“We are extremely proud to expand our capabilities to include the 7X and the service team here,” said Carey Matthews, SHPBASC general manager. “The service team here, which we have developed and qualified, is very excited to deliver premium in-country service and support to existing and new 7X customers.” SHPBASC received its Part 145 certificate, which allows maintenance and servicing of Chinese registered aircraft, in December 2011.
Located at Hongqiao International Airport, SHPBASC is a joint venture between the Shanghai Airport Authority and Hawker Pacific. The company’s 4,000-square-meter maintenance facility is adjacent to Shanghai’s first FBO. Since the FBO’s opening in April 2010, it has handled more than 3,400 movements.
