Gulfstream Aerospace appointed Thomas Huff last week to the newly created position of Aviation Safety Officer. A retired U.S. Naval Aviator with more than 25 years of experience, including chief test pilot for a variety of naval aircraft and weapons systems, Huff reports directly to company president Larry Flynn. He will oversee a comprehensive aviation safety program for all Gulfstream flight operations, including experimental test, production test, demonstration and corporate flights. Huff will also provide independent safety oversight and promote aviation safety and awareness throughout the company, a Gulfstream spokesman told AIN.
