BBA Aviation subsidiary Ontic is expanding its capabilities. At its center-of-excellence MRO facility in Houston, the aftermarket support company is adding services for Hawker Beechcraft’s line of King Airs. Among the services offered are repair and overhaul of the turboprop twin’s landing gear, flight controls and ancillary structures including airframe structural and sheet metal work. Other systems such as the environmental and pneumatic control, mechanical power transfer and oxygen containment and distribution are also included in the services menu. The Houston facility is presently ramping up its oxygen system support capabilities including full cylinder requalification and valve overhaul. It also offers customizable service plans and has ATA-sized crates available for loan.

Ontic manages a diverse portfolio of mature and legacy products for business jet platforms. For example, the company provides a full range of services and support for the Hawker 125 series, and Ontic has licensed worldwide manufacturing rights for many components from a variety of OEMs. At the show Ontic (Booth No. 3100) is highlighting support for the horizontal stabilizer trim actuation system on the Bombardier Challenger 600 and 601 and the Israel Aircraft Industries Westwind II. The company also provides the fuel measurement system for the Hawker 4000 and earlier Hawker jets, the fuel boost pumps on the Gulfstream IV and hot air valves for Cessna’s Citation fleet. Ontic also supports the analog and digital electronic engine control system for Honeywell’s TFE731 engine.

For Hawker 800 owners, Ontic offers a support program with repair and exchange services of Aviation Partners-modified ailerons that were installed as part of the blended winglet upgrade. The system is one of the most cost effective modifications available to Hawker operators. Aviation Partners has completed more than 130 installations of the winglet system for 800/800XP owners.
