Pilatus is opening the order book tomorrow at EBACE for its PC-24 twinjet, which was unveiled at the convention last year. The company is officially signing agreements with launch customers this week at its EBACE display, where visitors can get a taste of the $8.9 million (2017 dollar) PC-24’s interior in the full-scale mockup of the new jet.
The flat-floor cabin (volume 501 cu ft) seats six to eight passengers. Range is 1,950 nm (NBAA IFR reserves, 100-nm alternate) and high-speed cruise speed is 425 ktas at FL300. Extra versatility comes from the PC-24’s large cargo door and ability to land on unimprovedrunways.
Rollout of the first PC-24 is scheduled for August 1 at the Pilatus factory in Stans, Switzerland, with first flight planned by year-end and certification and entry into service in early 2017.
