The 11th annual LABACE is set to open on Tuesday at São Paulo Congonhas Airport, Brazil, but with a reconfigured venue. The hangar that housed exhibit booths at previous LABACE shows is only partly available this year, so organizer Associação Brasileira de Aviação Geral (Abag), Brazil’s business and general aviation association, has instead rented a large tent that will be positioned at the entrance. It will, however, have less space for exhibits than the hangar.

Abag is preparing for up to 16,000 visitors over the three-day show, where there will be more than 100 exhibitors and a static park displaying some 70 aircraft, ranging from light piston singles to ultra-long-range business jets. Notably, the Challenger 350 will be making its LABACE debut, just two months after entering service.

Participants will include aircraft manufacturers, importers, shared ownership companies and private airports, all eyeing the business aviation market in Brazil, which lays claim to having the second-largest business aircraft fleet and the world’s largest helicopter fleet. Across Latin America as a whole, Bombardier Business Aircraft forecasts deliveries of more than 2,130 business jets over the next 20 years, representing a compound annual fleet growth rate of 3 percent.
