Private aviation services provider Hong Kong Jet has achieved the international standard for business aircraft operations (IS-BAO) for its business jet charter operation. Introduced by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC), the IS-BAO safety standard is based on ISO 9000 and serves as a code of best practice for the business aviation industry.

“Your flight department has joined the expanding list of proactive flight departments around the world that have implemented the IS-BAO to manage the safety, security, efficiency, an effectiveness of its of its operations,” IBAC director general Donald Spruston told the charter provider.

Established in 2009, the HNA Group company, which also provides private jet management and aircraft sales, achieved the recognition for operation of its own Gulfstream G550s, and for management of Bombardier and Boeing long-range aircraft. “We are very proud of our safety team,” said Hong Kong Jet CEO Chris Bucholz. “The importance of applying the highest safety standard on everything we do is engraved in every staff member’s mind.”
