Among the 13 national and industry pavilions here at Dubai 2005 is one representing a group of aviation specialists from Austria. A strong VIP delegation from the country includes senior government officials, its ambassador to the United Arab Emirates and the embassy’s commercial attaché.
The seven companies making up Austria’s national pavilion include Frequentis, a leading communication and information systems developer for safety critical areas. The company claims a 30-percent share of the world market for air traffic control voice communication, making it a world leader in this sector.
The pavilion also features WFL Millturn Technologies, the world’s only manufacturer focusing on the production of multifunctional turning-drilling-milling-centers, along with Axis Flight Training Systems, interiors specialist Air Ambulance Technology, composite aircraft manufacturer Diamond Aircraft Industries and Peters Group, a manufacturer and distributor of coating materials and special lacquers for electronics.
