As NBAA’s Schedulers & Dispatchers (S&D) Conference gets rolling in San Antonio, Texas, this week, organizers announced that this year’s edition of the annual show had set a record for exhibitors with 425 airports, FBOs, fuel suppliers and others scheduled to display their services at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center. S&D is the industry’s premier event for flight planners and flight department managers and features 32 education sessions aimed at helping attendees in their role of supporting flight departments, ranging from “the ABCs of taxes and fees” to “security threat and risk assessment.”
This year’s theme is “making time to fuel your goals,” and the conference’s opening general session on Wednesday morning will feature as a keynote speaker, time-management specialist Laura Stack. Making a return after last year’s successful introduction in San Diego is the conference training initiative, where attendees can earn recognition for their attendance at certain sessions on topics relating to risk management and/or tax issues. Conference organizers expect more than 2,500 attendees at the event, which runs through Friday.
