London Stansted Airport now has a fifth FBO with the opening this month of the new Fayair operation. The 35,747-sq-ft facility is the result of a $19.2 million investment by Mohamed Al Fayed, former owner of the Harrods Aviation FBO immediately opposite the new Fayair building.

The Fayair FBO offers heated hangar space and direct apron access from its passenger and crew facilities, which also include on-site customs and immigration screening. Other features include a multi-faith prayer room, a gym, lounges and a dedicated area for limousine drivers.

“We are a privately-owned FBO, concentrating on providing a top quality, personalized service to clients,” said Fiona Robinson, Fayair head of marketing and support services.

The other four Stansted FBOs are Harrods Aviation, Inflite, Universal Aviation and the Diamond Hangar.
