CIS-certified TBM850 Makes JetExpo Entrance
Daher-Socata’s TBM850 single-engine turboprop is making its fourth appearance at Moscow’s Jet Expo show this week, but the first since the aircraft received type certification for the Commonwealth of Independent States, including Russia. “The certification increased Daher-Socata’s recognition in the CIS, where business aviation markets are going beyond stability to a situation of growth,” explained Nicolas Chabbert, senior vice president with the aircraft division of the French group. “Vnukovo-3 is an excellent place to display out new very fast and flexible TBM850 Elite since this terminal accommodates up to 70 percent of the Moscow [business aviation] traffic,” he added.
“The 2012 model TBM850 Elite is especially well-suited to Russia’s business transportation requirements, offering fast cruise speeds, excellent range, low operating costs and cabin flexibility,” commented Victor Kuklyaev, general director of Infinity Aviation, the authorized TBM sales representative for Russia
The TBM850 has a maximum cruise speed of 320 knots (at 26,000 feet in ISA conditions) and is powered by a single 850-shp Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-66D variant of the TBM700’s engine. It has flexible seating which offers four and six-seat configurations, and a maximum-fuel range of 1,585 nautical miles, while the standard-fit aircraft list price is just over $3.2 million.
As of 10 September, more than 278 of the aircraft had been delivered according to Daher-Socata (taking the combined TBM700/850 fleet worldwide to more than 600).
