EBACE concluded today in Geneva with record attendance and exhibitor numbers. At least one exhibitor feels the event has become the show of choice, saying, “Collectively there are more real buyers here than at [the annual] NBAA [convention in the U.S.].” There’s no doubt the show has grown exponentially over the seven years of its existence. What follows is a sample of news highlights from this year’s event. Cessna inked a deal with JetAlliance for 25 Citations valued at $280 million. The order encompasses almost the entire Citation line…JetFly, the Luxembourg-based fractional operator, had a busy show, ordering four Socata TBM 850s, four Piaggio Avanti IIs and–immediately before the show–six Pilatus PC-12s…EMS Satcom unveiled its new voice solution, the eNfusion CNX-400 cabin gateway, which uses the company’s CNX-200 network accelerator and expands it to allow for more user flexibility…Eurocopter said it is installing flight training devices for the EC 135 in both Donauworth, Germany and Dallas in the fourth quarter…Versace joined forces with TAG Aircraft Interiors to secure its first A319 ACJ interior design project…Gulfstream announced it has quadrupled the size of its spare parts inventory in Europe to address high demand. The company’s facility is based in Luton, England…And finally, Jet Aviation said it has rounded out its portfolio of Bombardier business aircraft services and has been named an authorized service facility for the Global line.
