Embraer delivered fewer aircraft in the first quarter of this year compared to the same period last year, according to financial results released this morning. Executive jet deliveries in the first three months of this year totaled eight aircraft, 11 fewer than in the same period last year. Although first-quarter deliveries of the larger Legacy 650 and Lineage 1000 remained consistent at two aircraft, light jet deliveries of the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 dropped from 17 aircraft to six. Revenues for the executive aviation segment also dropped, from $131million in the first quarter 2010 to $115.8 million in the same quarter this year. Nevertheless, the report stated that the Brazilian OEM “expects that the total revenue guidance for 2011 will be met.” The total order backlog, including airliners, is valued at $16 billion, as it was at the end of last year’s first quarter.
