Sikorsky S-76D’s PW210S Engine Gets Canadian Approval

The Pratt & Whitney Canada PW210S, which will power the Sikorsky S-76D helicopter, received Canadian certification on October 14, P&WC announced yesterday. Test engines logged more than 8,700 hours in test cells and flight tests as part of the approval process. According to the company, FAA and EASA approvals are “expected in the coming months.” Customer delivery of the first PW210S-powered S-76D is slated for next year.

Article "Sikorsky S-76D’s PW610S Engine Gets Canadian Approval" issued October 15 has a mistake, the engine is PW210S.

Thanks, Ted. Headline was fixed to reflect PW210S turboshaft engine, not PW610 turbofan engine.
