To celebrate its 40 years of publication service, AIN was invited to Savannah on Thursday for a special event hosted by the senior management of Gulfstream Aerospace. The celebration–and presentation of an impressive Gulfstream G650 window/plaque–acknowledged AIN’s 40 years of “outstanding publishing service to the international business aviation community.” Marking this milestone at the event were (left to right) Gulfstream vice president of communications Jeff Miller; Gulfstream president Larry Flynn; Gulfstream vice president of marketing and sales support Bill Shira; AIN Publications executive vice president John McCarthy; AIN Publications managing director/co-founder Wilson Leach; and Gulfstream senior vice president of sales and marketing Scott Neal. The inscription on the gold plate at the bottom of the window reads: “Celebrating 40 years of excellence in serving the aviation community. Aviation International News, 1972-2012.”
