Corporate Angel Network Auction Items Reach New Heights
Donated items for the live auction at the NBAA/Corporate Angel Network (CAN) Soiree, to be held on October 31 during the NBAA Convention in Orlando, Fla., have reached spectacular levels. Aircell has donated the biggest-ticket auction item ever–an ATG 5000 high-speed Internet equipment package for business aircraft worth $91,500–to the organization, which coordinates free transportation for cancer patients on corporate aircraft.
Aircell said it sees its donation as a win-win for both CAN and the winning bidder: “The buyer potentially pays less for the unit, and 100 percent of the money goes to one of the most worthwhile organizations in the industry–CAN.” Installation of the ATG 5000, however, is not included. Interested bidders with questions about the ATG 5000, STC’d aircraft or installers can contact Aircell.
Another high-value auction item is a $60,000 package donated by CAE that includes airfare to Dubai and flight training at Emirates-CAE Flight Training. Recurrent training is available at this facility for the A320; Boeing 737NG; Challenger 604; Global Express; Falcon 7X, 900EX EASy and 2000EX EASy; GIV, GV, G450, G500 and G550; and Hawker 800XP/XPi and 850XP/XPi.
SimCom, Bendix/King, Phillips 66 and Signature Flight Support, among several others, have also donated high-value items for the auction.
At last year’s event, the live and silent auctions raised a record $220,000 for CAN, and the organization hopes to surpass that amount this year.
