Activist Investor TCI Wants EADS To Divest Its Minority Stake in Dassault Aviation

Activist investor The Children’s Investment Fund Management (TCI) in the UK has renewed its calls for EADS to sell its 46-percent stake, worth more than €4 billion, in Dassault Aviation. Last month, TCI partner Ben Walker wrote a letter to EADS chief Tom Enders, saying its investment in Falcon jet manufacturer Dassault is a “poor use of capital…[and] provides no synergies and has limited strategic value.” This week, TCI again pushed Enders to divest its minority interest in Dassault “as soon as possible.”
