With the completion of a runway refurbishment project late last month at Dubai International Airport, flight operations there have been fully restored, according to His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and chairman of Dubai Airports. The project was finished ahead of a surge in air traffic at the airport for the Eid Al Fitr holidays.

The private aviation service providers at the airport also announced that their FBOs are now back in full operation. “We are pleased to welcome business aviation clients back to Dubai International Airport,” noted Mark Hardman, operations director for ExecuJet Middle East. “The airport remains the ideal drop-off and pick-up location for clients with limited time in Dubai.”

Jet Aviation took advantage of the seven-week-long runway closure–during which time private aviation traffic was diverted to Dubai World Central, where both ExecuJet and Jet Aviation, as well as other companies, also provide FBO services–to remodel and rebrand its Dubai International FBO in line with the recent refurbishment of its Geneva and Zurich locations.
