Field Aviation has signed a contract with Avitrade Belgium to design, produce and install executive interiors for two new Bombardier Q400s. The modifications will include multi-class seating, in-flight entertainment, satcom, custom galley and floor coverings, wood laminates and redesigned lavatories. All completions are undertaken at Field’s Toronto facility at Lester B. Pearson International Airport (YYZ). Field Aviation has recently re-aligned its business direction to place a stronger operational focus on modification and conversion of aircraft for special-mission roles, and executive and corporate shuttle interior completions for regional aircraft. “The emphasis on our new business focus is in response to strong customer demand within these two key areas of our operations. The expansion of our VIP interior completions and special mission modifications programs is an exciting step into the future for our business as we enter this new decade,” said Chris Cooper-Slipper, vice president of marketing. Field manufactures airframe parts and accessories for the Bombardier Q400 and Viking Twin Otter 400 and continues to support numerous out-of-production aircraft with low-volume parts, assemblies and components.
