Enterprise Jet Center Expands Maintenance Capacity
For the second time in five years Enterprise Jet Center is expanding its Houston Hobby Airport complex. In 2006, Enterprise Jet Center opened a 300,000-sq-ft terminal office building and hangar. The latest move has the entire maintenance department moving into the company’s former hangar adjacent to the current terminal. “The 30,000-square-foot hangar gives our FAR Part 145 operation more dedicated space for maintenance and repair services while allowing more space for tenant aircraft in the space vacated in the terminal hangar,” said Bobby Courtney, president and CEO of Enterprise Jet Center. “The way it was, we were limited on both tenant and maintenance space; we couldn’t expand either one. Now, everyone has space to grow and it’s more efficient.” The new maintenance facility can work on Gulfstreams, Challengers, Citations, King Airs, Hawkers, Learjets, Beechjets and Falcon 2000s. Courtney said the facility can accommodate about 10 aircraft at a time. “Until recently about 15 percent of our business was on transient aircraft at other facilities. With the new facility we’ll be able to do more work on site,” he said.
