Gulfstream Aerospace is reopening the 62,000-sq-ft Hangar F at Dallas Love Field. “We now have hangars dedicated to specific aircraft models,” said Mark Burns, president for Gulfstream product support. “Large-cabin and midsize-cabin customers have their own specific facility, with parts inventory and office space that cater to their needs. We are also well positioned for the future with the 2012 and 2011 deliveries of the Gulfstream G650 and G250, respectively.” The hangar is dedicated to midsize-cabin aircraft and includes a warehouse stocked with parts for midsize-cabin and non-Gulfstream aircraft. Three of the other eight hangars at Gulfstream Dallas are dedicated to large-cabin aircraft, including the G650. The expansion creates an additional four large-cabin slots over current capacity. The Dallas site’s total square footage is 411,890. Gulfstream’s Dallas maintenance facility is designated to service the G650 and G250 when they enter service. The service center, which also supports operators in Latin America and the southwestern U.S., recently earned approved maintenance organization designations from Mexico and Brazil.
