Scott Beale, former president, founder and co-owner of FlightWorks, has acquired Waterford, Mich.-based Aerodynamics (ADI) and its subsidiary ADI Shuttle Group. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. ADI, which is located on Oakland County International Airport, is a flight and maintenance repair firm that operates under Parts 121, 125, 135 and 145. The company provides corporate shuttles, charter, aircraft management and MRO services. Beale said he sold his interest in FlightWorks in 2010 “to pursue a more aggressive strategic direction in the global aviation marketplace” and chose ADI because it is a “growth platform.” Beale, who serves as ADI’s chairman and CEO, told AIN, “ADI will continue to improve upon its 53-year history of excellence in operations. It’s our plan to expand and diversify the company to a national and eventually international global aviation services company providing premium services across the commercial and government sectors. Through expanded services, the growth of ADI’s physical presence, expansion of charter, aircraft management, corporate shuttle and government customer base, the company will more than double its size over the next three years.”
