Engine Service Deals Available for Challenger and Global
Challenger, Global 7000 and Global 8000 operators now have two new engine service options. GE Aviation is offering its OnPoint engine maintenance coverage to Challengers equipped with GE CF34 engines. In addition, Bombardier announced its five wholly owned business aircraft service centers in the U.S. have been designated by GE as authorized service centers for the CF34. Both agreements are effective immediately. Under the service center agreement, Bombardier’s five aircraft service centers, located in Dallas; Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Hartford, Conn; Tucson, Ariz.; and Wichita will begin to provide line maintenance and mobile repair services on CF34s. GE Aviation will provide Bombardier facilities with comprehensive material and technical support. According to GE, the OnPoint program offers customers the option to purchase a flexible engine service package tailored to their specific needs. OnPoint is being offered on both the Passport engines that will power the ultra-long-range, large-cabin Global 7000 and Global 8000 and the CF34 engine that powers the Challenger 600 and 800 series.
