Gardner Aviation Launches Rotorcraft Service Division
Atlanta-based Precision Aviation Group (PAG) has launched a rotorcraft services division at subsidiary Gardner Aviation Services. It will provide helicopter-specific avionics upgrades/installs, airframe maintenance and MRO services at Gardner Aviation Services’ 35,000-sq-ft facility on Atlanta Regional Airport in Peachtree City, Ga.
David Mast, PAG’s president and CEO, told AIN Gardner Aviation Services has historically worked on single-engine piston and turbine helicopters. “The vast majority of aircraft previously serviced were Eurocopter products, including the AS350B, BA and B2. We now have factory-trained mechanics in place to work on the Bell 206, 206L, 407, MD 500/530, Eurocopter AS350B3, BK117, EC135/145 and Sikorsky S-76.”
According to Mast, Gardner Aviation Services has 28 employees, including 10 A&P mechanics and six avionics techs, and it has a mobile response team available 24 hours a day.
The company has named Mark Tyler director of maintenance and Andy Rucker quality control manager. Tyler was formerly director of maintenance for Omniflight and Rucker made the move from Air Methods.
