Air Works India Engineering has made an investment in Dubai-based Empire Aviation Group. EAG offers aircraft sales, management, charter, finance and insurance. “The acquisition will help us establish a significant footprint in the Middle East by providing maintenance to EAG’s fleet of managed aircraft. In return, EAG will provide aircraft management services to Air Works’ customers in India,” Vivek Gour, Air Works managing director, told AIN. Sixty-one-year-old Air Works has three base maintenance facilities, in Bangalore (specializing in the Airbus A320, Boeing 737 and ATR 42/72) and Delhi and Mumbai, catering to business jets, turboprops and helicopters. The company also has line maintenance facilities in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Jakkur, Kolkata, Madurai, Nagpur, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Trichy. Air Works holds approvals from the CAAS, CAASL, DGCA, EASA and GCAA and is a DGCA-certified CAR 145 and continuing airworthiness management organization (Camo) for fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft. It is an authorized service center for AgustaWestland, Bell Helicopter, Bombardier, Dassault Falcon, Embraer, Garmin, Gulfstream, Hawker Beechcraft, Honeywell and Rockwell Collins.
