NBAA Maintenance Committee Awards Tracs Scholarships
At the NBAA Maintenance Management Conference held April 30 through May 2 in Fort Worth, Texas, the NBAA Maintenance Committee awarded Technical Reward and Career Scholarships (Tracs) to 35 people. The Tracs program is open to current and aspiring A&P mechanics enrolled in an accredited A&P program or Part 147 school and military technicians who are transitioning to civilian careers in business aviation, according to NBAA.
Scholarship awards included technician training courses on specific aircraft and engines and other classes such as composite repairs, avionics, troubleshooting and more.

Seven companies helped with travel and lodging expenses for Tracs applicants, including Alcoa, Dallas Airmotive, Duncan Aviation, Jet Aviation Maintenance, McWane, Midcoast Aviation and Volo Aviation.
