Dallas Airmotive’s regional turbine center (RTC) at Singapore’s Seletar Airport completed its first major periodic inspection (MPI) on a Honeywell TFE731 engine. The Singapore RTC is the only suchfacility in the region authorized to conduct the major mid-point health examination on that engine.

The engine, operated by a company based in Thailand, is the first of two slated for an MPI. “This first MPI is the culmination of a year’s effort to establish our Singapore facility in the region,” said Dallas Airmotive president Doug Meador. “Asia-Pacific is a relatively new and high-growth region for business aviation. We have committed the resources to serve a growing base of customers now and for the long term.”

The Dallas Airmotive Singapore facility opened in February last year and has authorizations from the EASA, CAAS (Singapore), CAAP (Philippines), DGCA (Indonesia), DCA (Thailand), CAAC (China) and DCA (Malaysia). Authorization from India’s DGCA is under way, with approval pending.

The facility is also Honeywell approved for line maintenance on the HTF7000 and CFE738, GTCP 36-150 APU and RE100/RE220 APU.
