Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen (LTS), a Chinese composite materials specialist headquartered at Bao’An International Airport in Shenzhen in southern China, is expanding its maintenance, repair and overhaul capacity. LTS is tripling its workshop and warehouse capacity to nearly 269,000 sq ft and strengthening its presence in the areas of component supply, logistics services and airline support teams for engine services across China and Asia.

Services in component supply and repair will be extended significantly, as will the company’s supply-chain management in cooperation with Lufthansa Technik Logistik Services.

The logistic service center and its bonded warehouse will simplify and speed up material supply, transport and customs procedures, and a large autoclave will also be commissioned when the new buildings and workshops become operational. This equipment will make it possible for the company to work on large composite material components such as those used in the A380 or Boeing 777 and 787. Technical services for avionics components and hydraulic and pneumatic devices are also being expanded.
