Duncan Aviation has opened its 10th engine rapid response location. The most recent addition is located at Long Beach Airport in Long Beach, Calif. Previously, Duncan Aviation has supported the region through its engine rapid response teams in Scottsdale, Ariz., and Seattle.

To support the growing opportunity in this region, Joe Stubbs, a Duncan Aviation engine technician originally from the company’s Lincoln, Neb. facility, is based at Long Beach Airport as the rapid-response team leader. He is currently the only technician on staff but the organization’s plan calls for more. “We will expand as demand requires,” Stubbs told AIN. “Our purpose here is AOG response. I can dispatch from Long Beach and respond to AOGs all over Southern California into Las Vegas; we cover a 500-mile radius from our base.”

The Long Beach team has a truck equipped with all the tools and supplies to handle engine changes, installation of LRUs, inspections and so on. The company works on P&WC, Rolls-Royce, GE and Honeywell engines and most APUs.
