EASA has given approval to DC Aviation to expand its maintenance capabilities to include the Bombardier Challenger 604/605. Through its facility at Dubai World Central, DC Aviation Al-Futtaim, the joint venture between DC Aviation and Al-Futtaim, can now offer line maintenance support to customers operating the Challenger as well as the Airbus A320 series and Bombardier Global Express.

Its 61,300-sq-ft dedicated hangar is the only business jet hangar at Al Maktoum International Airport. The facility, which can accommodate four ACJ/ BBJ-size aircraft as well as two ultra-long-range business jets such as the Falcon 7X, Global Express or G550, offers maintenance, parts, procurement, storage and airworthiness certification.

“We are continuously expanding our maintenance capabilities and are pleased to add the Challenger,” said Michael Lindgren, director of maintenance at DC Aviation Al-Futtaim. “We have invested in our technicians and added tooling and equipment to support the Challenger, and our team of experts is committed to meeting the highest quality standards to ensure our customers’ assets are safe and secure.”

DCAF is in an advanced stage of receiving GCAA CAR145 approval.
