The FAA published a new AD on March 21st for the Cessna Citation 560XL. The AD was prompted by reports of jammed or stiff rudder actuation after water froze on the rudder bias cables and pulleys in the tail cone at high altitude. The directive requires modification of drainage in the tail cone, as well as inspections of existing drain holes in the forward and aft frames. Estimated cost to comply, per aircraft, is approximately $2,000.
