Pilot Kelvin Romello Changur pled guilty in U.S. District Court in Miami on April 25 to falsifying his application for an FAA medical certificate and later attempting to use a U.S. passport containing some of the same false information.

An investigation revealed that Changur had more than once misrepresented his date of birth to the FAA and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security/Homeland Security Investigations (DHS/HSI).

Changur attempted to gain employment with a commercial air carrier utilizing the fraudulent documentation, which was picked up during the pre-employment background checks. Sentencing is set for June 11.
